Plaster Artefacts The emblema, or plaster mouldings used for making expensive objects in precious metals, were thoroughly studied by Otto Kurz, who compared them with other collections around the world belonging to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The Kapisa region's influences and numerous connections with the West, its religious traditions and its artists deserve further study and research. Bibliography: O. Begram (Kapisa province) Begram was a large city, probably a royal town, situated some 80 km north of Kabul, in the province of Kapisa. |
